Join SharePoint architects, developers, and other professionals that work with Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 for a ‘SharePoint Saturday’ event.  SharePoint Saturday is an educational, informative & lively day filled with sessions from respected SharePoint professionals & MVPs, covering a wide variety of SharePoint-orientated topics.  SharePoint Saturday is FREE, open to the public and is your local chance to immerse yourself in SharePoint!

SharePoint Saturday Phoenix will be hosted at the University of Advancing Technology campus in Tempe and is free to anyone who wants to attend. Registration begins at 7:45 AM with a keynote speaker to follow, there will be four separate tracks focusing on SharePoint 2007 and the upcoming SharePoint 2010.

IT PRO Track

The IT Pro Track will focus on SharePoint 2007 installation and configuration, including disaster recovery and virtualization.  In addition there will be sessions focused on ramping your knowledge on the upcoming SharePoint 2010 release, including migration and upgrade, as well as a general overview of SharePoint 2010 requirements.

Developer Track

The Developer track will feature deep dive sessions for SharePoint 2007 using Web Parts, Page Layouts and Master Pages as well as custom development using Visifire, JQuery and ALM. SharePoint 2010 sessions will include a development overview using Visual Studio 2010, and showcase new features such as Linq to SharePoint and other new and exciting developments.

Business User/Site Administrator Track

Business users and site administrators will have sessions aimed at using the SharePoint 2007 designer, best practices for securing your SharePoint site, and how to effectively manage your organizations web content. A SharePoint 2010 overview will also be given and a showcase of new features such as Business Connectivity services, workflow, tagging and new list capabilities

Solutions Track

The Solutions track will include topics for using SharePoint to deliver end-to-end business solutions to your organization.  Content will include topics focused on social computing, business intelligence, governance, records management and web content management.

Each track will consist of five presentations lasting approximately an hour and ranging from introductory, 100-level content to highly-technical, 400-level “expert” sessions.  Speakers will represent a broad cross section of the SharePoint community and offer a variety of different perspectives and points of view.  SharePoint Saturday Phoenix will also host an all day “Ask the Experts” lounge where you can present your challenges and questions to a panel of SharePoint experts.
